The town hosted an Optional One Cent Sales Tax information meeting on October 15 at town hall. About 20 people attended to hear how the Optional One Cent Sales Tax benefits Ranchester and Sheridan County. If you missed the meeting and want information about the tax stop by town hall.

It has come to my attention that a rumor is floating around that the Town of Ranchester is considering exercising its power of eminent domain in the Mobile Drive and Mobile Circle area. Nothing could be farther from the truth! The Town has never considered the use of eminent domain anywhere. Granted there are many infrastructure challenges in the Mobile Drive and Mobile Circle area which need to be addressed, but they won’t be addressed through the power of eminent domain. So, if you hear that rumor disregard it and check with town hall to get the facts.

Farmers Market did very well this year we are hoping to get more vendors.  The space, tables, and, chairs are provided for use at no charge.  Be thinking of what you or someone you know can do next year.  If you have ideas on how to make the Farmers Market or anything else in the Town better we are always open to suggestions and volunteers.  Town Council meets the 1st and 3rd Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm at the Town Hall.
